Handbook: ---- F.3. Core/Processing Of the Intel PCI chip sets, the following list describes various types of known-brokenness and the degree of breakage, listed from worst to best. Mercury: Cache coherency problems, especially if there are ISA bus masters behind the ISA to PCI bridge chip. Hardware flaw, only known work around is to turn the cache off. ---- I have a Pentium 60 that uses a motherboard w/ the i430LX Chipset. I am using it as an FTP server w/ a PCI Graphics card, NIC, and HD Controller. There are no ISA cards used. Does this problem still apply to me? Is there a way to check to see if I need to turn the cache off? Thanks in advance. --Tim ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
