Thank you for the answer. This worked perfectly. The date -u only displays the date in the UTC it doesn't actually change the time zone to UTC. This is what worked. The timezone of a box is determined by /etc/localtime. If you remove it, UTC is used by default. Thanks again Jerad Hampton Network Administrator The King's University College
