The fix applied to RELENG_4 and RELENG_4_6 was a conservative (from a code-changes-might-break-something point-of-view) patch. Warner has also committed what should be a more robust approach to -CURRENT (suggested by itojun@netbsd.org). The latter involved an interface change in map_v4v6.c; the former did not.
