if you have 3.0-RELEASE make sure you download the SSLeay port (which is
neede if you want to compile apache+ssl) from one of the latest
snapshots as the SSLeay port in 3.0-RELEASE is broken. 

The SSLeay port is in: 

  /usr/ports/security/SSLeay 

and you can download the latest port from: 

 
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/ports/security/SSLeay/
