On a new 3.0 system I start ppp and it has a think for a couple of
minutes before it displays the prompt. Same-same problem in auto mode.
The log file only puts out two lines during this period;

Phase: using interface tun0
Phase: deflink: Created in closed state

Any ideas what it's thinking about, why it won't start immediately ?

regards
damian
