It's taken me two weeks to get the updated software in place (and it's not happening automatically yet) but ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/doc/ contains the Handbook in a variety of formats (including PDF) available compressed using gzip, zip, and bzip2. Hope that's useful. It should be automated and built daily sometime within the next fortnight.
