This is the output of "host winbox" Host not found. I checked /etc/services and this is what i have for netbios: netbios-ns 137/tcp #NETBIOS Name Service netbios-ns 137/udp #NETBIOS Name Service netbios-dgm 138/tcp #NETBIOS Datagram Service netbios-dgm 138/udp #NETBIOS Datagram Service netbios-ssn 139/tcp #NETBIOS Session Service netbios-ssn 139/udp #NETBIOS Session Service I think it checks out ok, however i still cant resolve the host. As for my second problem, whenever i login from a certain computer the telnet session is dropped... And when this happens i get an error message on the console from inetd. This is the error: Jan 11 11:07 host inetd[529]: warning: hostname/name mismatch: magellan.host.client !=gateway.host.client in this case the client is a school. gateway.host.client is the computer that is connected to the internet and, i believe that magellan is the proxy server for the firewall to block certain sites from being displayed on the computers in the school.
