For my first problem, I am trying to use Sharity Light to mount my windows drives on my FreeBSD box.. however, the output of it is that the host cannot be found. This is the output of "host winbox" Host not found. I checked /etc/services and this is what i have for netbios: netbios-ns 137/tcp #NETBIOS Name Service netbios-ns 137/udp #NETBIOS Name Service netbios-dgm 138/tcp #NETBIOS Datagram Service netbios-dgm 138/udp #NETBIOS Datagram Service netbios-ssn 139/tcp #NETBIOS Session Service netbios-ssn 139/udp #NETBIOS Session Service I think it checks out ok, however i still cant resolve the host. As for my second problem, whenever i login from a certain computer the telnet session is dropped... And when this happens i get an error message on the console from inetd. This is the error: Jan 11 11:07 host inetd[529]: warning: hostname/name mismatch: magellan.host.client !=gateway.host.client in this case the client is a school. gateway.host.client is the computer that is connected to the internet and, i believe that magellan is the proxy server for the firewall to block certain sites from being displayed on the computers in the school. I am running FreeBSD-3.2 Release w/2 nics. Please help, nat To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
