Hi, I just installed FreeBSD 3.1 onto a fresh system for the first time and am experiencing some problems relating to the installation of *any* of the ports. In the past, to get a port installed from one of my CDs, I changed directories into /usr/ports/<subdir>/<package> and typed 'make install'. However, when I do this now, I get the following errors: >> tcsh-6.08.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist on this system >> Attempting to fetch from ftp:://... fetch: ftp.astron.com: host name looku pfailure ... >> Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this >> port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles and try again *** Error Code 1 Any ideas? Is this a bug that I just haven't read about? Thank you, --Tom To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
