I can't quite see where rlogin switches stdin to non-canonical mode. kdump/mkioctls is very broken. It greps for #defines in sys/ioctl.h and sys/ioctl_compat.h, but sys/ioctl.h only #includes files that define ioctls, so kdump only recognises the crufty compatibility ioctls. Bruce
