The net/ntp port (the current one in the CVS repo) is the "prod" version, akin to FreeBSD-6.0-RELEASE (in concept). The net/ntp-stable port would be the "stable snapshot", akin to FreeBSD-6.0-STABLE and the net/ntp-devel port would be the "dev snapshot", akin to FreeBSD-7.0-CURRENT. I could live with the "prod" and "stable" versions. The "dev" version could build/install the "stable" and "dev" versions depending upon responses to a dialogue, defaulting to the "stable" version. That could be another option.
