HP (Compaq) ASL is intentionally obfuscated. This makes it a pain to debug. I've noticed a lot of suspicious things. First of all, make sure you're running the newest BIOS available. If that doesn't fix this, try setting this tunable at the loader prompt: set hw.acpi.serialize_methods=1 I'll continue debugging this. -- Nate
