The sound driver is rather difficult to maintain due to its support for many different cards. That version was enhanced to support the gus pnp which is the card which I own right . My gus max broke several months . The near term future is that we are waiting for a release from Hannu Savolainen when this happens the sound problems for non gus pnp should be alleviated.
