There shouldn't be any arguing over which of Linux or FreeBSD is better. Each has its own set of features that people may or may not want. Personally, I've always considered that I'd prefer to run Linux at home and that I'd rather run my servers on FreeBSD. In that perspective, Linux becomes an ally for FreeBSD because the two will have to speak to each other.
