Once again, as in the gnome install issue (and the line in ~/.xinitrc is gnome-session) curiosity got the better of me and I installed xmcd. That's right Lei, did the same thing to me so I read back through the messages generated by install. xmcd has to be configured before you can run it. Do this: # cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xmcd/config # ./config.sh Just answer all the questions, and away you go. And by the way, thank you! This appears to be an outstanding program! About blew my durned ear-drums out when I popped in a cd, so be careful. I love the web-page it generates for your cd.
