The command pkgdb -F is required for portversion to work on a fresh install, and it reports an error. ===> Installing for iso8879-1986_2 ===> iso8879-1986_2 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/xmlcatmgr - found ===> Generating temporary packing list ===> Checking if textproc/iso8879 already installed xmlcatmgr: entry already exists for `iso8879/catalog' of type `CATALOG' *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/textproc/iso8879. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/textproc/iso8879. ** Command failed [exit code 1]: /usr/bin/script -qa /tmp/portinstall20100202-91 101-1521991-0 env make reinstall ** Fix the installation problem and try again. ** Listing the failed packages (-:ignored / *:skipped / !:failed) ! textproc/iso8879 (install error) Command failed [exit code 1]: /usr/local/sbin/portinstall textproc/iso8879 Investigating more, I discovered that the iso8879 directory under /usr/local/share/sgml is created every time the make install command is executed. In it is a catalog file. I do not know what function it has, but it's apparently creating it and then complaining that it's there. Renaming the file and trying again produces no difference - the file (and entire directory) is created by make install and the subsequent failure occurs. >How-To-Repeat: Try to install textproc/iso8879 on 8.0 >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
