I've got rid of the above errors :-) In another thread, egcs-1.1.2,
there was mention of similar errors and a fix of symlinking libstdc++
to libgcc. I did this, after renaming libstdc++, and it worked.

The errors below still occur. The source files contain ``#include
<strstream.h>'' and ``#include <iostream.h>'', which is where all
the definitions are. I just don't know which lib to link in. With
2.2.8 I had ``-lC'' as one of the linker options, but under 3.1
that gives the error about "can't open -lC". I bet that is the
problem. Where is libC in 3.1?
