Dear driver coders,

my new notebook has the Intel WiFi Link 1000 chipset (0x8086, 0x0083).
A quick look at intels developer sites doesn't answer if the chip is
compatible  with the precessor 5300/5100.
Has anybody any experience with this wlan device?
