Hi-

This is a P100 system with adaptec 2940 controller.
Currently I am running 2.0.30 with Doug's aic patch for the narrow
drives. This works fine and I am able to access the dat drives fine.

However, the same does not happen with 2.0.32. I have downloaded
the same from ftp.kernel.org and trying to access the dat drive results
in the load average shooting up to 5.... After the system becomes unusable.
I cannot log on, cannot shutdown... but the system does not freeze.
On a terminal already on, I can work minus problems for some time.

The only option out is a cold boot.

What could be the problem with the scsi? Also, the scsi controller
just freezes, does not do anything, but the load continously keeps shooting
up.

	-sam
P.S. There is nothing in the logs though...
