There was no particular urgency to backing this out and you could have dropped me a line asking whether or not I wanted you to simply fix it, which you did not. The irony to all of this is that all I wanted was for the problem to be fixed and would have welcomed any reasonable solution to the problem, including yours, but now you've stuck me in the position of not being able to condone the manner in which you went about doing this since proper communication and procedures are exceedingly important in this project and you've flagrantly overstepped your bounds for what may be the last time.
