My Ethernet card, running without any problems under FBSD 4.x doesn't run under 5.3:

pccard0: <unknown card> (manufacturer=0x0143, product=0xc0ab) at function 0
pccard0:    CIS info: MultiMobile, MT5634ZLXI/E, A

I use following /etc/pccard.conf:

#MultiTech MultiMobile MT5634ZLXI/E
    card "MultiMobile" "MT5634ZLXI/E"
    config auto "ed" ?
    insert    /etc/pccard_ether $device start
    remove  /etc/pccard_ether &device stop

This was always working under 4.x.
