I downloaded FreeBSD 3.1 and copyed it to my C:\ in the path C:\freebsd = I made the 2 floppies and they worked. I set up a partition with = Partition Magic for FreeBSD. but when I try to install the 'bin' part = and all the rest, it cannot find my dos partition.....The FreeBSD is a = primary partition and the dos partition is also a primary partition. Do = I need to put the FreeBSD partition into an extended dos partition? I = think this would not work. Any help on partitions and getting the = install prog to read dos partitions would be of great help Thanks Chris R ------=_NextPart_000_0005_01BE9828.EFC791E0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2014.210" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Hello</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I'll try to make this short and sweet and get to the = point...</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I downloaded FreeBSD 3.1 and copyed it to my = C:\ in the=20 path C:\freebsd I made the 2 floppies and they worked. = I set=20 up a partition with Partition Magic for FreeBSD. but when I try to = install=20 the 'bin' part and all the rest, it cannot find my dos partition.....The = FreeBSD=20 is a primary partition and the dos partition is also a primary = partition. =20 Do I need to put the FreeBSD partition into an extended dos = partition?
