Actually... :-) I made another wonderful discovery that helps immensely. I was thinking last nite and decided when it happened again I would try setting all the ttyd* devices to "off" for a second and then back on, this morning I had a chance to test and it cleared the situation. You're too late by a day ;-) Next step: will try playing with individual ports to see if I can find out who's making trouble for me. Thanks for the information, though. It helps in understanding what may or may not be going on. I'll keep everybody posted. ...
