Hi all:

I am new to this place as well as the FreeBSD, hope this is the proper group to post my question.

I'm using FreeBSD 3.1 stable and get an external modem on COM1, since my NIC uses the same irq4 as COM2, so I disable the COM2 on board. I know I have to set up something before it works, but just cannot find a clue after reading the hadnbook.

Would somebody kindly tell me the procedure to set up and tune a modem? Or the way to find out the solutions.

Liu Yan
