Thanks. You might find you get better diagnostics by asking exim directly what it's up to. Use "exim -bt" and type email addresses at the prompt. It'll show you the routing decisions it makes to deliver a message to that address. The exim user mailing list is very good; if you stay stuck, drop me a line offlist with your exim config and I'll try to help.
