I didn't comment at the time but making single fixes like this to gcc is
a waste of time. It's taken since the 2.6.0 release to about two weeks ago
for Michael Meissner to get the i386 code into a functioning state again
because simple fixes like this just moved the problem to elsewhere in the
compiler. 2.6.0 was just badly broken, don't bother trying to fix
particular instances of that brokeness.
