Try the G command and just specify? Any > possible problems with this down the road? I am using an 80 GB IDE drive on my system and it is working fine. As someone else suggested, let FBSD pick the geometry and you should be OK. It worked for me. Also, don't get concerned when you see you only got about 66 GB out of your 80 GB drive. That got me. When I asked about it, I was reminded that the OS reserves 8% of disk space by default for file optimization. The rest was lost due to the manufacturer's interpretation of a GB equaling 1,000,000,000 instead of the true 1,024,000,000 definition. Good Luck!
