Hi, I just installed JDK 1.1.8 from the ports (on FreeBSD 4.2-Stable), and when I try and run jar, or java and any of the commands from the jdk it seg faults with the following: pmurray@monolith:/usr/local/jdk1.1.8/bin/ > ./jar SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation Full thread dump: Monitor Cache Dump: Registered Monitor Dump: Monitor IO lock: <unowned> Child death monitor: <unowned> Event monitor: <unowned> I/O monitor: <unowned> Alarm monitor: <unowned> Memory allocation lock: <unowned> Monitor registry: <unowned> Thread Alarm Q: Abort trap Can anyone tell me why its doing this and how I can fix it?
