I am trying to install FReeBSD 5 on an inspiron 2500. Everytime I try to install it hangs after loading the kernel. I have looked into it and it seems that there is a problem with the default kernel and the devices on the laptop (sound card I believe)... How can I go about installing FreeBSD???
