Well, started over freshly: - checked out current of today - applied CAM patches - applied ALTQ patches finally installed i4b, which replaces the above mentioned net/if_spppsubr.c. I made sure, that the version of net/if_spppsubr.c were the ones from the i4b package, though this is made sure, as I installed i4b as the very last thing ... i4b moves the original files to filename-BACKUP, so I could easily check, that the i4b version is "active". But I have still the dialup problem ...
