Howdy,

Ok, Here's the brief specs
dual 2.4 Xeons
Adaptec Raid-5 SCSI

Everything works fine with a 4.9-p3 generic kernel. However, when I
enable SMP and rebuild the kernel, boot hangs at this step:

>Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle
>(noperiph:sym0:0:-1:-1): SCSI BUS reset delivered.

At that point, I have to reboot and boot back to generic kernel.

Here's the only two lines in the kernel that I change:
>options SMP # Symmetric MultiProcessor Kernel
>options APIC_IO # Symmetric (APIC) I/O

Any ideas?

tia,
Dan
