I figure we have a linux_lib port at the moment; there's no reason why we can't have a "solaris_lib" port which grabs its distfiles from your Solaris CD-ROM and builds a /compat/svr4 tree from them. If the "hello, world" program runs successfully the Makefile can register the package... Any volunteers for a sco_lib port? SCO CD-ROMs are appalling for doing this kind of crap with, because they don't have a pre-extracted distribution (a-la "life filesystem") on them, AFAIK. And I don't have SCO readily at hand. And I think OpenServer is the second-worst version of commercially-available UNIX on the market anyway so I don't want to get too close to it :-) - mark -------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried an internal modem, newton@atdot.dotat.org but it hurt when I walked.
