I thought I already submitted a patch for this that * got rid of the check entirely. The check is totally unnecessary. Oh, ok. I assume you submitted the patch to the popper maintenance people, in which case the fix should be in the upcoming new release (due out Thursday). Since the current version is severely broken (according to the maintainers, that's why it disappeared from the master site so quickly), we will have to upgrade this to the new version anyway (despite the code freeze). So I'll leave this port as it is for now, at least it won't blow up on MD4 machines. Satoshi
