I suppose the "ccd" driver should be of some use (man ccd). There is also a "vinum" driver in developpment. TfH ____________________________ Séparateur Réponse ________________________________ Objet : Root volumes in fbsd, can it be done? Auteur : jacques@wired.ctech.ac.za Date : 03/06/98 12:53 Hi there ... On AIX systems, one can install volume groups which binds 2/more hdd as a single volume. Meaning that, say 2 9Gig SCSI hdd, can function as one volume with different file systems. Think of it as the sys: and data: volumes in Netware. Can this config be done by fbsd 2.x or 3? Having 2/3 9Gig hdd and the OS will see it as different devices, but the same file system like /usr/local, can span over more that one hdd.
