https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D227952 Bug ID: 227952 Summary: ports-mgmt/portmaster fails when other pkg process lock database Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: se@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mikhail.rokhin@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(se@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: se@FreeBSD.org My case: Compiling via portmaster (PM further) more 500 ports of KDE4. Background `p= kg check` tasks begun suddenly and led to PM failure during next port installation. My suggestion: Make PM checking whether another process of pkg is running and locking database, and give user choice to kill all pkg processes or to wait till th= ey exit themselves, and not quit such huge compil. like KDE4 or GNOME3 meta-po= rts. ports tree , kernel & world latest. Thank you for development. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
