Marshall Kirk McKusick offers a set of CD-ROMs with versions of the original BSD, up to BSD 1: http://www.mckusick.com/csrg/index.html They're not not freely available, because that ancient code was covered by a different license back then, so by buying those CD-ROMs you have to agree to those terms.
