You can do two things:
- compile a new login from the sources (/usr/src/usr.bin/login)
- tell us which version of freebsd you have and maybe somebody will send
  you one.
  The MD5 checksum for /usr/bin/login for FreeBSD 4.2 is 
  MD5 (/usr/bin/login) = 1aabe3b5e9e0d12f06671260985a81f2
