For what it's worth, I started an e-mail exchange with the FreeBSD Foundation about funding work on radeon KMS. Their response was: "We think this is a great idea and we would love to do work in this area, but we currently don't have anyone available to do this work." If someone is interested, and capable, they should get in touch with the Foundation. Adam
