I couldn't find it in FAQ or handbook either: Active memory is (I think) memory that has been in use in the last 30 seconds. Correct? What is wired memory? Also, what is the difference between cache and buf memory? Thanks, -- ______________________________________________________________________ Peter Mutsaers | Abcoude (Utrecht), | "Quod licet bovis, plm@simplex.nl | the Netherlands | non licet Jovi."
