I suspect the assertion failure is because we are getting a conflict (looks like from comment #1 that OpenBSD is setting the base addre= ss of an I/O BAR to 0, and probably some other BAR is already at I/O port 0, h= ence the error return and assertion failure). The bug though in that case is wh= y is OpenBSD writing a 0 base address. Are we advertising an existing base addr= ess of 0 for BARs in bhyve?
