Following the instructions in Greg's book (great book btw), I set up xdm
on my box, but now it refuses to start what's in the xinitrc file,
instead it brings up a box, "Session Menu." It's possible my brother
messed with the xdm set up files, there's a ~file from emacs for

should be $HOME/.xinitrc
but I dont know.
