I have an NE2K compatible PCMCIA NIC which Linux can successfully use, but which no *BSD can. I figure the problem is essentially one of recognizing this particular card as NE2K compatible since other NE2K PCMCIA ethernet cards are supported. I was hoping to be able to cat some info out of Linux /proc to give enough information for the FreeBSD developers to recognize the card so that I can install FreeBSD in the future. So, here goes: `cardctl ident 1`: Socket 1: product info: "PCMCIA LAN", "Ethernet", "A", "004743118001" function: 6 (network) /proc/bus/pccard/01/exca: 82 7f 90 6b 00 08 41 02 00 03 1f 03 00 00 01 00 d0 00 d0 80 30 7f 01 00 d1 00 d1 00 2f 7f 80 f8 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 81 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
