Well, somehow the installation of the ELF kernel failed. Since I ran the upgrade process with "make -ki", the system automatically rebooted and now I have a non working system :-/ Well I suggest the last thing of a make aout-to-elf should be a message like: an now reboot your system after making sure, that the ELF kernel has been installed properly Or is that not possible anymore, since the ELF programs can't be executed ??? But how does "install" work until the last second ... *sigh* not an easy job these upgrades ;-) -- Andreas Klemm http://www.FreeBSD.ORG/~andreas What gives you 90% more speed, for example, in kernel compilation ? http://www.FreeBSD.ORG/~fsmp/SMP/akgraph-a/graph1.html "NT = Not Today" (Maggie Biggs) ``powered by FreeBSD SMP'' To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
