Tell-tale for duplex mis-match is that one side is counting collisions and the other is not. Use 'netstat -i' on FreeBSD and 'sho interface' or whatever on the Cisco. Full-duplex interfaces do not have collisions and the count will always be zero. R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
