If you're on -RELEASE I don't see the connection with the -stable@ mailing list in the first place. I recommend you try the -questions@ mailing list and/or the Forums and/or the -ports@ mailing list. The latter is because from 10.X onwards BIND is no longer in the base system anyway; it has been moved to the ports tree and replaced in base with Unbound.
