I also used the MSX, Spectrum Z-80 and some others like the Amiga later on. I never knew that a GUI existed and I loved command lines. Nowadays most of the new generation only know GUI's and may find their use way easier than remember those archaic command line instructions. And they don't teach DOS anymore, which might be a slight benefit as it will make explaining some theories that make 'nix tick more easier (I had a hard time at first to understand why putting . in yer PATH is a Bad Thing(tm)) I foresee golden periods in which the true learned ones (e.g. the people that make IP tick, like the Unix and Unix clone folks) leading the less knowledgeable ones.
