I'm aware of this.  I have just been trying to explain how you do
this, as it is detailed in the PnP spec quite clearly.

The issue regarding ECSD information and IRQ/DMA resources is very
significant as well; without this information you cannot safely perform
PnP setup no matter how good your code.
