 With py26-numpy-1.5.0,1 being in ports now, it builds and installs 
 correctly for me now.

 So either the update for py-numpy or GCC has fixed the issue for me, but 
 I can't speak for others that had the issue.
 
 I would consider this closed.  (in fact, I totally forgot about it, sorry!!)
