The following reply was made to PR ports/75720; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Timur I. Bakeyev" <timur@gnu.org> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, niallm@maths.tcd.ie Cc: Subject: Re: ports/75720: The 4.10-RELEASE samba 3 package smbpasswd/smbclient is linked with libkrb5.so.20, and does not mark heimdal as a dependency Date: Mon, 03 Jan 2005 01:23:06 +0100 Ok, I'm giving up :> Seems, Kerberos detection requires way more handling, than one port can do... Possibly, it's time to make yet another .mk. The problem here, seems in the build/runtime environment. When the port compiled, it checks, does the system have Kerberos. And both 4.10 and 5.3 do have it in default installation. Can you please check your system - is it altered from the default? Do you have /usr/bin/krb5-config and friends? With regards, Timur.
