I'm glad to announce that a new program has born :-) To all the owners of a Kodak DC20 digital camera: I wrote a little program to control our camera via the serial port. I would like you to test it, to send me patches to improve it, and to find bugs, if any. My English has to be considered as a bug ;-) I'm going to upload the FreeBSD port to ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.ORG/pub/FreeBSD/incoming/dc20ctrl-0.4-freebsd-port.tar.gz (it is only 1418 bytes). Please, download it and unpack it in your /usr/ports/graphics directory, then cd dc20ctrl and make it. If you don't use the ports collection, or want to build it by hand, fetch the sources from http://aguirre.dsi.unifi.it/~paterno/binaries/dc20ctrl-0.4.tar.gz (about 35 KB). Finally, if you are drooling on your keyboard 'coz you want to try it fast, download the ready-to-install package for -stable from http://aguirre.dsi.unifi.it/~paterno/binaries/dc20ctrl-0.4.tgz You will find all the binaries at http://aguirre.dsi.unifi.it/~paterno/binaries/ too, but currently there isn't any English HTML documentation on that site. I will wait for some feedback before submitting a pr to commint the port. P.S.: sorry for the crosspost, but I was unsure on which list was better for this. Maybe announce? Pardon, what did you say? Isn't this a "significant freebsd event"? :-) Bye, UP -- +-------------------------------+---------------------------------------------+ | Ugo Paternostro | Work: Dipartimento di Sistemi e Informatica | +-------------------------------+ Via di Santa Marta, 3 | | Home : P.zza Cannicci, 2 | 50139 FIRENZE (FI) | | 50018 SCANDICCI (FI) | Italy | | Italy | Voice: +39-55-4796365 or +39-55-4796425 | | Voice: +39-55-252115 | EMail: paterno@dsi.unifi.it | | Fax : idem, voice call before| Finger for my PGP public key | | EMail: 2:332/125.23@fidonet +---------------------------------------------+ | 39:102/205.23@amiganet | All opinions are mine, mine, only mine! :-) | +-------------------------------+---------------------------------------------+ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
